Editorial policy
Our aim is a straight, trustworthy answer with the working shown. These are the standards we hold ourselves to.
Official sources first
Regulated figures come from legislation or the responsible agency — the ATO, Fair Work, or ASIC Moneysmart — never from a competitor’s calculator. Each calculator lists the sources it relied on, with the rule’s effective date and the date we last verified it.
We don’t invent things
We do not fabricate tax rates, calculation results, search volumes, review counts, accuracy percentages, or government endorsements. We never imply affiliation with or endorsement by any agency, and we don’t describe features that haven’t shipped.
Transparency about limits
Where a result is an estimate — for example, where a real payslip depends on your employer’s payroll rounding or a lender’s daily-interest convention — we say so plainly rather than implying official precision.
Corrections
If you think a result is wrong, please tell us — there’s a “Report an issue” link on every calculator. We review reports against the official source and update the tool and its review date when a change is warranted.
